Debret, Rugendas and other artists depicted “in loco” a Brazil that was being born. They painted laundresses, peddlers, slaves, characters that live in this lush nature and receive, for the first time in America, an European court. We created a “crystal palace” and, in its transparent walls, we exposed the main issues painted by these artists.
